June 30, 2010

Let me first start out by saying that the weather outside is freaking gorgeous! It is 75 degrees, and I am still trying to figure out if I should open up my windows or not. Madden and I went to the bank to see my peeps and get some cash for the weekend. When we left the bank I decided to take the long way home and roll the windows down. It was soooo nice, and it actually put me in a better place. Who knew the long way home would be full of road construction, which on a normal day would drive me crazy but today I didn't mind at all. I am sure the construction guys didn't mind their jobs as much today either.

I felt kind of bad that I did not get to take Madden to the park, so I made sure to take a long walk when we got home. I then let him run around our yard, which mainly consisted of me saying, "No" because all he wanted to do was pick my flowers and pull on tree limbs. After eating some lunch, Madden is now going down for his nap, and I think I am going to do a little painting. I am almost finished with a piece that I have been working off and on with for probably 4-5 years. It is very hard for me to stay in the painting groove when I have soooo much other stuff that I need to get accomplished. However, if I am ever going to get it done I must stay diligent and focused.

Thomas went to the reds game for work, and I have to say that he deserves a nice break from that place. It seems to be getting worse and worse stress-wise for him there. It is a shame that because he is so good at what he does they take advantage of him and give him a big workload. After he gets done at the game he is coming home and He, and Madden are going to have some quality man time while mama goes to have dinner with Aunt Ess! Hopefully she and I can get some wedding stuff accomplished for her upcoming nuptials. That is pretty much all I have for today folks, hope everyone gets out and enjoys the beautiful day!

June 28, 2010

Hello one and all! This is my attempt to once again start a family blog. My previous attempt on Shutterfly worked out for a while, but I felt limited to what I could do on there. The whole purpose for doing a blog initially was so that family back home could keep up with our everyday lives. When I started to think about it more and more though, I thought this would be a great way to chronicle Madden's life. I am having a hard time keeping up with his baby book so this will be a great reference guide for me.

So in recent news I just celebrated my 27th birthday. I now agree with what everybody says in that the older you get the more and more you start to dread your birthdays. I know I am only 27 but it just seems like such a big number. I don't feel like i have been on this earth 27 years but I suppose the math does add up. Besides that though, I am very fortunate to have such wonderful friends and family that really make me feel special on my big day. Thomas and Madden made sure to make my Birthday weekend as wonderful as possible. Thomas even changed all the poopy diapers, what a guy! I always feel very lucky to have such a wonderful husband, and loving little boy.

In Madden news...well he is living up to the title of boy. We have not had anymore "Poop episodes" thank God! After having to clean poop off of his head and hands two times I was done. Hopefully he will get potty trained soon, or we will have to get him onesie pajamas's forever. He is still trying to figure out how to say things, and it seems like he can pick up on singing a song much easier than actually saying words. Maybe we have a Pavarotti on our hands! It' so funny how no matter what the song may be he figures out a way to incorporate the words mama and dada into them. He just knows how to melt our heart!

I am going to post a few recent pictures. Be sure to come back and visit as I am going to try and stay on board here!
